Are you a therapist or psychiatric provider interested in joining our group practice?
Puget Sound Psychotherapy & Psychiatry was founded to support both clients and mental health providers. We make it easier for clients to find an available, accessible, and skilled provider, and we help therapists with network of mutual support, professional growth, cross-specialty consultation, and the joy of being part of a community. We also take care of the administrative, marketing, and many practical details of running a practice so that you can fully focus on your clients.
Puget Sound Psychotherapy & Psychiatry vets the clinicians whom it provides services for so that it only markets and provides referrals to clinicians that have a specialized level of training, that are committed to rigorous ongoing professional development, and that offer a high level of care and customer service to their patients.
Poor communication skills are often a big driver of misunderstandings or alienation 👽. When we struggle to express ourselves clearly, we drive wedges into our social relationships and even our relationship with ourselves ✋.
If you are struggling with communication, there are a variety of therapy types to look into for help. While we've only included four therapy types, they each have dozens of subcategories that are tailored to suit individual needs. Naturally, there are plenty of other therapy types that have not been mentioned, but we hope this guide can help out anyone who is looking for a professional to help beef up their communication abilities.

Our midweek quote is a reminder that sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zone if we want to heal and evolve.
Leaving the normal is scary. Doing new things, especially on our own, can feel paralyzing. Therapy is a good way to find a guiding hand as you better yourself.
Take a moment to reflect on what is keeping you stagnant 🧐. What are your fears? What do you need to face them?

This month, we'd like to give a biiiig shoutout to our team psychiatrist/therapy dog duo, Dr. Tim and Remy Richardson.
In the PSP office, Tim and Remy provide high-quality and flexible talk therapy as well as medication management. They currently have openings available to see anyone 6+ who is in need of support on their mental health journey.
We can attest that having a fluffy dog in your life makes life more bearable, especially when discussing difficult things. 🩵
